“The Bachelor” host Chris Harrison and “Entertainment Tonight” correspondent Lauren Zima, who hails from unincorporated Elgin Township, made their red-carpet debut Saturday at a Screen Actors Guild Awards pre-party in West Hollywood.
the two have been dating for months and are “very happy.” Zima, 31, graduated from Elgin High School in 2005 and studied journalism at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
She moved to Los Angeles in 2010 and eventually joined the cast of the MTV comedy “Disaster Date,” . She was after a stint at the news network Newsy. as “‘Entertainment Tonight’s’ No. 1 reporter for all things ‘Bachelor’ nation.”
Harrison, 47, has been the host of “The Bachelor” since it premiered in 2002. he and his wife, Gwen, were splitting after 18 years of marriage.
“The Bachelor” airs at 7 p.m. Mondays on WLS-Ch. 7.
