Callum Hudson-Odoi has been urged to join by former Chelsea boss Ruud Gullit.
Young English forward Hudson-Odoi scored to help Chelsea beat Sheffield Wednesday in the on Sunday, just 24 hours after handing in a transfer request.
The 18-year-old, unhappy with his lack of opportunities at Stamford Bridge, is keen to join Bayern Munich during the January transfer window.
Chelsea remain hopeful that Hudson-Odoi could sign a contract extension but former player and boss Gullit believes he should leave the Premier League outfit.
‘He’s a good player, I think he wants to play, but he has a lot of competition,’ the Netherlands legend told Sport.
‘A lot of players are in front of him. I can understand he wants to play.
‘I think Chelsea are in doubt because they see his potential but have better options at the moment.

‘If it was my son, I would say go and play. You can only get better by playing, not sitting on the bench or playing with the Under-23’s. You don’t get better from that.’
Hudson-Odoi made his first-team debut for Chelsea last year but has been limited to just 15 appearances since, most of which have come as a substitute.
Asked about the 3-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday whether he could have played his final game for Chelsea, he responded: ‘I don’t know, I can’t say.
‘I’ll keep working hard and you never know what will happen.’
Chelsea, who are currently fourth in the Premier League, travel to Dean Court to face Bournemouth on Wednesday evening.
