Chelsea have told Callum Hudson-Odoi they will not be selling him this month despite the teenager handing in a transfer request to try and force through a move to .
Hudson-Odoi – who impressed in the on Sunday – has grown frustrated with a lack of first-team opportunities under Maurizio Sarri and is yet to start a match this season.
Bayern have had four bids rejected for the teenager, the latest of which reached £40million, and even offered Hudson-Odoi Arjen Robben’s No.10 shirt.
However, the report that Chelsea have dismissed his transfer request and made it clear that he will not be leaving in the January window.
The Blues would have precious little time to sign a replacement and, despite his lack of league starts, Sarri has counted on Hudson-Odoi in the Cups.
He started the first leg of Chelsea’s Carabao Cup semi-final against Tottenham and got on the score sheet against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup on Sunday, while he will be heavily involved in the knockout stages of the Europa League.
Although a January move is off the table for Hudson-Odoi, he could be allowed to leave the club in the summer.
The 18-year-old’s current contract expires in 2020 and he is refusing to sign a new deal, so Chelsea would cash in rather than risk losing him for nothing.
Hudson-Odoi was asked about the rumours by the following the win over Sheffield Wednesday, though refused to say if it was his last game for the club: ‘I don’t know, I can’t say. But you know I just keep working hard and you never know what happens.’
