Liverpool will not be submitting a bid for wantaway Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi, reports say.
Hudson-Odoi is attempting to force his exit from Stamford Bridge after personally handing in a transfer request over the weekend.
The 18-year-old started and scored in Chelsea’s win over Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday, but refused to address the transfer rumours after the game.
Liverpool were believed to have held talks with Hudson-Odoi’s team earlier this month.
However, the claim the Reds will not firm up their interest with a move.
Jurgen Klopp has a host of forward options to chose from at Anfield, including Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Xherdan Shaqiri.
Hudson-Odoi, who would cost at least £35million, is not seen as a viable option to challenge Klopp’s best attackers.
Liverpool are unlikely to make any signings before the close of the window on Thursday, despite an injury crisis in defence.
The centre-back injury crisis is lessening with Dejan Lovren returning to full training, while Klopp is hopeful right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold will be back in action sooner rather than later.
Liverpool are top of the Premier League table, but Klopp is content with his player options with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain set to return from a long-term injury before the end of the season.
